3. Outcome: Students will be able to formulate tests of environmental questions, acquire data, and apply scientific methods to answer these questions.
Assessment: This outcome will be measured through exam questions, problem sets, and discussion topics in ESP 1 and ESM 120.
4. Outcome: Student will be able to characterize the various social drivers of environmental problems and the relative attributes of policy instrument solutions.
Assessment: This outcome will be measured through exam questions, problem sets, and discussion topics in ESP 1 and ESP 162.
5. Outcome: Students will be able to compose and deliver informed positions on current environmental problems to the public.
Assessment: This outcome will be measured through writing assignments and oral presentations in ESP 1, ESM 120 and ESM 195.
Successful learning outcomes will be indicated by a grade of C or better in each of the courses.
